Well, not too much going on here out of the ordinary! Actually, that's a good thing! I've been doing some baking recently and thought I would share a few pictures.
The other day, I finally found some 'normal' peaches! The ones they had previously had around here were very small, hard to cut, and extremely juicy! Peach pie is one of my favorite fruit pies, so I thought I would try using those peaches for a dessert. After fighting with the peaches trying to get what little fruit I could, I decided it was hopeless. Now, for whatever reason, they have the larger 'normal' peaches available. So, what did I do? Aaahhh...I made a peach pie!!!
I also made rolls that same day to go with our supper. I used my mother-in-laws recipe. Mmm...Mmm...Good!!
And then yesterday, I made a snack for our weekly Bible Study group at church. I made 60 mini-snickerdoodles.
Hey...I can't communicate very well with the people yet, so for now, I can cook for them!

I found out that making little things like that for the poeple goes a very long way. Keep up the good work. The words will come later
MMmmmmm...You're peach pie is the best. Brings back memories of making 15 pies for Father's Day Sunday... It's cute to see that you took absolute decorations to Mexico, such as your antique scales!
absolutely necessary, that is...lol
Crystal, the snickerdoodles, the peanut butter cakes, all the goodies you offer to make for Bible Study---they have been delicious and you are so sweet to help out like that. I want you to know how much I appreciate it.
For the rest of you, Crystal is quickly finding a special spot in many young (and older!) hearts via her culinary skills....her smiles convey what words sometimes can't...and like Hannah K commented, the words will come!
Better rest up now before VBS!
That is so great - I have found the same thing that baking something to share is a great way to connect! Way to go!
