I'm Back!!

Sorry for the unannounced blogging vacation...but I don't think I'm the only one!!

Well, I mentioned last time that I would have pics from PA, and since it's been so long, from recent events, too.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM PA

I was able to spend some time with my best friend, Kara, who just had a baby! The quilt she is holding is one I made for her and is supposed to match her car seat/stroller.

Clayton Andrew Plank - he's so cute!

Taylor & Clayton - "Car Seat Buddies"

And...after leaving sunny Florida to come home, I was able to "enjoy" wintry weather!

This is a panoramic view from my parents front porch.

I forgot to take pictures of my family - but I really enjoyed being with them on my brief visit home!

RECENT EVENTS

The night I flew back to Florida was Michael's birthday. Since his family was all at Sea Breeze Camp Meeting, they had a small celebration.

Most of our time spent in Florida has been at camp meetings. Sea Breeze was no exception. We were commissioned by H.I.M. during the last service.

I sang with my "in-law" family for a special song.
"As For Me And My House...We Will Serve The Lord"

Thank You Melodie for taking the pictures!

We were also privileged to spend time with other members of the Hispanic department from H.I.M....the Reiff's, the Dykes' and the Burch's. Of course I didn't have my camera along for those occassions, so...

I have some more family pictures to post, but since it's getting late and the page lengthy, I'll save them for another day! Adios!

Fun in the Sun!

Last Saturday we were in Kissimmee, FL and were able to enjoy the sunshine! We thought we would try playing mini-golf...with Kyle! This isn't such a bad thing, but he is a very rambunctious 2 year old who likes to explore everything on his own! We are able to report - no major catastrophes! Otherwise, I got 2 hole-in-ones, but...Michael beat me by one :-(

I am currently in PA, and will have more to update...at a later date!!!

Manatees!

Well ~ Sun City Florida District GMC Camp is officially over. Now we have a few days off before we begin more services. Today we drove 10 miles or so to visit a "Manatee Observation" place. It is located right beside an electrical plant. The manatees apparently are attracted to the warm water generated from the plant.

There were quite a few of them hanging out in the water. They are also larger than I thought.

And of course, we had to have pictures of the kids!

Fun On The Road!

We've been able to spend some time with family and friends while on our trip. The pictures on the scrapbook page below were taken at Paul & Christine Young's house. They have two girls (ages 6 & 7) and Kyle had a blast playing with them! The one evening, they decided to dress Kyle up as a "chef" and we couldn't resist the picture. These pics could prove useful later on in his life!

We were also able to meet up with Dan, Michelle and the boys at a Cracker Barrel in Florida. They've been traveling south with "Heritage" - the girls trio from Penn View.

Notice a few light jackets in the picture? It's been kind of cloudy, rainy and slightly cool! We're hoping for the sunny, warmer days to soon arrive!

Check It Out!

We stopped at 'Hamerick's' today - one of those "must stop and shop" places in the south. Ever since I've traveled in quartet, every time we've stopped there, I've found lots of stuff for incredible prices! Today was no exception. Among other things, we got a new suit for Michael for $26.99 and also an IZOD tie for $4.99. Not bad!

More pics of the kids...

Just Relaxin'!

Can You Believe It?

Will wonders never cease? We actually woke up Thursday morning to SNOW in North Carolina! The more amazing thing is that we're now in South Carolina and they are/were calling for snow. We've also heard that Alabama may be expecting a little whitening too! What is this world coming to?!?!

It looks like Carolina Christian Academy is closed for the day!

Kyle's 4-Wheeler

I really don't have much to blog about...I was going to put some pictures from the Graham N.C. Spanish Church that we visited last Saturday night...but they are blurry! So, I thought I would spare my dear blog guests the agony of less than clear pictures!

Instead, enjoy the photo of Kyle having fun on his 4-Wheeler! This was something we wanted to take on our trip for Kyle to enjoy, but we didn't necessarily have room for it. We managed to cram it into the back of our minivan! Of course, that means we have to take it out to get to everything else...oh well...!
