Print a Recipe

Check out the new "Print Recipe" button in each of my recipe posts! It's a little orange box that looks like this:

Upon downloading the recipe PDF, you'll be able to print a little 3x5 retro recipe card that I made that looks like this:

I hope you will enjoy this new feature! (I know I do! Now I don't have to bring up the blog, find the recipe, and keep checking my screen while making one of these recipes...I have them all printed and in my recipe box.) ;-)

Tortilla Twirls

Here is a yummy appetizer recipe! I made this for the people down here and they really liked it.

TORTILLA TWIRLS

1 pck. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices deli ham or turkey, chopped
4 sliced cooked bacon, crumbled
2 Tbsp. salsa
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

4 flour tortilla shells (10 inch)

Instructions:
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread a 1/2 cup mixture over each tortilla; roll up tightly. wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hrs. or until firm.

Unwrap and cut into 1 inch slices. Serve chilled or place 1 inch apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400* for 5-7 minutes or until heated through.

yields: 40 appetizers (including ends)

We have tried these both ways and like them either way. You could also try using pepper jack cheese instead of the cheddar to kick up the flavor a notch!

[ Just a Glimpse ]

I thought it would be interesting to show a few video clips on here every now and then to give a greater look at the different things we do and encounter.

This was taken last Sunday night during our service in the mountains. It was held at a different home than where we normally go. I had planned on taking other videos and/or pictures, but after this one clip, my batteries died, so...hope you enjoy our singing!

[ Just a Glimpse ]

Today we enjoyed going to a birthday party for one of kids from our city church. We started out by watching the kids hit three different piƱatas and collecting the candy, then all the kids sang to Kevin. Afterwards, we were served cake and jello, and then tostadas. The adults sat around and visited while the kids had a blast playing together.

Baptismal Service

Thank the Lord for another opportunity to hold a baptismal service - because that means that lives are being changed and then established in this Christian walk!

Yesterday, after a "shortened" service, we went about 10 mins. outside of the city to the river. There we baptized 4 people. These two couples were saved and then discipled while we were gone on deputation (by one of our church men who is studying to be a preacher) and now they live a changed life and share an awesome testimony of what the Lord has done!

It was a beautiful day for a baptism.

And here's the group afterwards with their certificates.

After the baptismal, we all went back to Antonio and Sonia's house for a meal together.

Another Year (Older)!

Somebody celebrated a special day today!!!

We spent most of the day relaxing, and then this evening, we went to the ocean. It's always relaxing to eat on the beach, watch the beautiful sunset, listen to the pounding surf, and breathe just a little bit deeper!

Here are a few pictures to commemorate the day.

Michael's favorite dish - Shrimp Cocktail w/ a side of french fries.

This little guy was wandering around and decided to join us for supper.

And then I took a few snap-shots of the kids.

Kyle
(notice his second baby tooth came out the other day)

Taylor
(ornery as ever!)

Parker
(couldn't get this guy to cooperate with me...
...and I just love the little bit of curly hair on top...)

After we came home from the ocean, we had cake and ice cream and Michael opened a few small gifts.

Happy 34th Birthday, Michael!
We hope you had a special day and that you will have many more to come!

Love,
Crystal, Kyle, Taylor, and Parker
